World of Warcraft

5 stars (If you want an online game this is the one to pick.) - I really love this game! I have been playing for more than 6 months and the "new" effect still hasn't worn off. The graphics are great and there are alot of places to explore. It's easy to level and items aren't too expensive. Trust me. This game is worth its price! 4 stars (Good addictive game.) - I like this game a lot. You can play it however you want, although it does mostly sadly caters to hardcore games, rather then casual gamers. It is still really good. Graphics-wise its looks decent, not the best, and not the worst but decent. Community-wise i have found all depends on the individual. you have to make things happen, you also have to work to make a community in the game. Gameplay-wise i think it is a little on the easy-side but a lot of fun. To respond breiefly to the guy talking about Guild-Wars. "a.no fee" If 15 a month is a problem for you, get a better job or stop playing the game. "b.better story" Only your opinion, which is as valid as mine. I like the storyline in WOW. "c.less cartoonish" Again, your opinion. While I would like it to look a little more realistic, I don't view it negatively that it is not. "d.no fee" Get a job, or quit playing. "e.better community" Not from what I've seen. But thats all perspective. "f.and other stuff" Meaning nothing. Anyway, to conclude. My biggest problem with the game is how addictive it tends to be. I use to run home from work, and play the game 4-5 hours a night. Now I am down to 1 hour a day, which is where I will stay with my playing time. I guess that is a good sign that it is a really good game. WarCraft III- Reign of Chaos

3 stars (Amazing... but I'd rather have a game more like Starcraft.) - In a few ways Warcraft 3 is good, but I prefer more of a Starcraft type game. WC3 has better graphics by far, more strategy, and definetly much harder because of the addition of heroes. Obviously WC3 has better graphics. It was released after Starcraft and produced by the same company, better graphics are expected. The games cinematic movies are amazing, the characters come to life through the lines and lines of programming. Even the graphics in the normal game play are quite good compared to any other game. You can see distinct features on each of the character models, and they are pretty impressive. The graphics are great but they dont *make* the game. The game requires much more strategy, and this is its downfall. While Starcraft was easy to learn and easy to play WC3 requires so much attention and multi-tasking it is sickening. In SC you could beat down one and sometimes two people easily just by massing the basic unit and upgrading them. In this game, you've gotta get all the units because they benefit eachother, you need buffers, healers, damage dealers, everything! If you don't have one type of unit, and the enemy does you've got no chance and are going to be decimated. He'll walk all over you and since it takes so long to build an army after he destroys you on the battlefield he'll walk right into your base and "game over." Starcraft is much more easy-going when it comes to units. Having a specific type of unit such as a defiler to cast plague, or a high templar to cast psi storm can help immensely but its not absolutely necessary to have your victory. Not to mention if your armies are destroyed out in the map you can see what units the enemy has. By the time he gets to your base you could have a whole new army and in turn whipe out his forces. Heroes in the game are, I admit, a cool feature. They give you a sense of power, and even look cool! The thing is they are actually much too...

Secret Agent Barbie Jewel Case

5 stars (THIS IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!) - i love this game. you get soooo many gadgets like a robot dog lipstick to shoot. its so fabulouse the best barbie detective game. the main point is your barbie and you have to see who stole the fashions(long story)you get choose a style for each mission and the color because sometimes you have to blend with the bushes or the dark sky!!!! so many activities, gadgets, sneaking around, and talking to your so called friends because anybody can be suspect. GO!!!! get it now dont waist golden seconds when you could be solving a mystery.(did i mention buy it!!!) 4 stars (it was fun) - I had it when I was younger and I was hooked! But I didn't like that there is the same bad guy. It was VERY hard at first so you HAVE to let them teach you everything in that weird room(sorry, i forgot what it was called). 4 stars ( ER made fun) - This game proved to be challenging and held my attention for hours on end. The possibilities are endless which adds to the challenge of the game. Would highly recommend for anyone who is a fan of ER , and this game will prove entertaining long after the duration of the television show. 4 stars (loved the game- its just not one of those indefinite ending games) - i absolutely loved this game. i am obsessed with the ER show and i really liked this game. Its not complicated at all, but definitely kept me not wanting to stop playing it. It is one of the games, though that is similiar to the csi/law and order series in that its only a set number of missions you can play, unlike the sims or rollercoastertycoon/etc. There are enough missions to keep you going for a while though and its really fun to try and become a good doctor and then get your own med students. you definitely should download the patch and the game works perfectly fine after that.(otherwise it gradually runs slower and slower). overall, i totally love this game. its challenging, but easy to learn and it kept me interesting and kept me wanting to get better as a doctor and earn the specialty personality traits. you can even form relationships with other doctors and kiss them and talk or you can just focus totally on getting your skills way up there. either way, if you love the show, youll love the game!! 3 stars (Fun, but waaaaay too short!) - I really enjoyed this game, but was stunned to find that the game ended after I had only been playing it for a couple of days (not straigt, in few hour increments) I agree with others in saying that this game was not what I thought it was going to be and was definitely not worth the money that I spent on it. Barbie Beauty Boutique

4 stars (Good game for little girls) - When I first started it was way easy, but I still like it. My favorite part is when we can dress her, do hair, make-up and nails. I love to watch the movie at the end that shows how they look. I am 5 and I have plaved this game a lot! (typed by Mom) 3 stars (My daughter loves it) - My daughter, like many, is infacutated with everything Barbie, She was 3 when I bought this for her and she played it for hours. I was amazed at how many times she would change an outfit, and slightly horrified at her make-up choices. Artistically, this is a great game. My daughter loved being able to create a look for her Barbie, and I got a kick out of seeing what she would come up with. First, you choose an event. It could be a birthday party, a movie premiere, a first date etc... and then you basically cycle through 4 boutiques: Hair, Nails, Clothing, and Make-up. Once you finish those you get a short replay of your makeover and then watched a short animation of your finished character participating in whatever event you chose. I think I would have appreciated it more if it gave you more options for the hair. 5 stars (A Time-less Classic) - Of all the games I've ever played, StarCraft would have to be in the top 3, plain and simple. I first started playing this game around 1996 or 1998 when it first came out, and I still enjoy it very much. 5 stars (The Best Strategy Game Now and Forever) - Chess has been around for centuries because of its depth and strategy. FlatOut

4 stars (Flatout, a car guy's must have.) - So, you loved the original Driver game for PC? Sad that Driver2 didn't get to PC and still haven't mastered Driv3r or left it sitting in the box to figure out later? Then FlatOut is the game for you. This game may not be a realistic racing simulator, may not have the best GUI for menus (can be managed with wheel and keyboard use. But for fun, this game has what you need. This game is great after those long commutes, just load it up, start a race, turn around and crash headlong into everything in sight, thinking it was that guy that was tailgating you, or that dead ass that wouldn't get out of the way. SMASH, CRASH, or get the cheat for the ejector seat and have fun throwing the dummy for distance or altitude records. Then you can mess around with different cars getting a reasonable idea about tight, loose, and all those other NASCAR like descriptions that the cars all get at times. There all there in one form or another. In all, great fun, and certainly worth the money. 4 stars ( FlatOut Fun) - This game is great fun. Great graphics, cool sound tracks are just the beginning. If your looking for a new racing title, this maybe the one. Realistic damage to cars and a destructable enviroment can add up to hours of pure racing mayhem fun. FlatOut is flat out fun. 1 stars (Flatout is flat) - This game has some good qualities, but the pure racing person will have issues, as you gain $ for running into objects and cars, which blows. You are in a race and losing, so blast your car and everyone around you to get $$ for the next race. Realistic? Not. They don't even have a view from inside the car, it is a bumper view with no part of the car visible. The interface with arrow buttons is bad, and you can't even race online, just by LAN. In short, stick with Leadfoot or DTRSC and you will be at least $40 better off. jc ...

5 stars (Needs Expansion but good game) - Ive been a huge fan of the first and when i heard about the second i counted down the days and finally it came out it was amazing much better then the first great graphics tons of options and Extreamely fun online and its free and 8 people can play at once and can make alliances and betray your allies and then NUKE them like crazy or use spys to make there reasourses posines or just make a huge army of GIANT robots and go slauter your enemy so as you can see theres tons of differnt ways to play 15 ages hundreds of buildings and dozens of units however if you got a crappy computer it will lag but its still fun so throw out War Craft or Age of Empires because the KING of RTS is here so buy it log on and kill 5 stars (FROM Cavalry Riders TO ROBOTS from Pitch forks to NUKES) - now me and my friends always would play the first together online it was a blast But one day one of my friends logged on and said that they are making a sequel WOW! so we waited until finally it came out but it wasnt as popular as we whould have hoped we were woried it may have been a stinker but when we got on we saw that it was in fact the KING of RTS it truely feels like you are in an actual war with weather blood stains However it does lagg a little but its worth it dozens of years to choose from TONS of civilzations and the Max POP is 2000 WOW the campaign may be a little boring but scrimishes rock and online play unimagineable 1 stars (Doesnt work) - The only good this game is good for is crashing your computer. when it works it extremely slow and unplayable. Barbie Horse Adventures- Mystery Ride

4 stars (Could be better) - This game could be better.when i got it for Christmas i played it with my step sister and cousin, and i'll say we finished it in about 20 to 30 minutes.THE WHOLE GAME!!!its fun,but isnt very long,thats why i gave it 4 stars. 3 stars (Blah) - For $20 I thought this would be something a bit more. The "adventure" is a bit boring and doesn't change much each time you play it. The navigation is quite poor compared to other games. Plus there's quite a bit of stutter on some of the vocals (I run a fairly fast machine with 768MB of RAM so I know it's not that). All in all, three stars may be a bit much, but my daughter likes it and I guess that's all that counts. 4 stars (Great For Younger Girls) - For young girls (6-10) just starting with an interest in "Mystery" games, this would be fun and entertaining. Small challenges - not too difficult, but skill-building for younger - make this interesting, but are too easy for more advanced game players. The graphics are okay, even though a bit stiff and cartoonish. Horse-loving girls will enjoy "selecting" their mount (including coat and mane color) and the opportunity to groom, feed and ride. You also get to choose Barbie's outfit and the style/color of your saddle and bridle. My main criticism is that the game time was too short, but for beginners or younger children, this could actually be a plus. ...

Diablo 2

5 stars (Fun overall game) - This is a freakin fun game I've been playing it for a couple years now and I'm still not bored. The expansion set is better but this is a once in a life time game!!! GO 76ERS!!!!!!!!!! Ratchet deadlock is another game I recommend. 5 stars (This is a great) - It takes place after the end of the original Diablo. At the end of Diablo, Diablo, the Lord of Terror, was defeated. The hero then takes Diablo's soul stone (a device that is used to bind the soul of any demon or angel) and puts it into his own body, hoping to contain his soul for all eternity. 5 stars (Sucking my life away) - Since I installed the game I have been wasting much of my life playing it. If you are running OS X you need to get the updater 1.11 to carbonize it so you are not using os 9. I find it challenging as a solo game. I still haven't used it to play over the web. ...

Icewind Dale Ultimate Collection

5 stars (Icewind Dale RPG) - This game is great for those that enjoy role playing games. There is a lot of reading involved but it adds to the story. It was a lot of fun 5 stars (This game is awesome in gameplay.) - Pros: 1. Character creation is fun, detailed and basically unmatched by any game on the market, much better than the NWN creation system. 2. Graphic is beautiful, but if you are expecting fully 3D environment, you will be disappointed. 3. Music is just awesome. 4. Did I mention Character Creation is FUN! Playing your custom made party is a very satisfying experience. Any kind of team is playable, You can solo the game too if you like. Cons: 1. Does not feature 3D environment like NWN 2. Gameplay is linear, but I didn't care as the point of my game is to develope my character. 5 stars (By comparison..) - I have played all the rpgs, Baldur's Gate, NWN, Dungeon Siege, Final Fantasy, TOEE, etc. And I have to say, that stumbling upon Icewind Dale 2 was a real treat.. Sure the graphics are dated, but WOW..the storyline, the dialogue, the descriptions of the rooms and actions are all incredibly well written (A breath of fresh air, after playing DS). The quests don't get in the way of the game, like so many others that get bogged down in annoying side-quests as a lame attempt to flesh out the world. I would have prefered the game to be turn based like TOEE, but this game's battles are numerous and really fun; partially to good monster design..compare bugbears in this game to NWN..so much better, and partially to the unforgettable situations and dungeons. When pitted against other D&D ruleset games, the spell choices offered and levels they are given at is superior to all others. I actually enjoyed having a Druid in my party, who could transform his arms into pythons, and for the first time in CRPG history actually used summon animals spells. Half-Life 2

1 stars (Getting STEAMed up!) - Do NOT under any circumstances buy this game for any reason whatsoever. It will not run on your system, or any system at all for that matter. The steam engine, which is what runs all of Valve's games at this point in time, does not work. If you check the Steam support website, you will find that basically every tech savvy gamer out there is getting the error "missing file: Steam.dll". Hundreds of people are complaining about this and have been for over a month. If you get an older version of the game, the steam engine will auto-update itself to the newest (i.e. non-working) version. There is no fix. There is no workaround. Valve has been promising a patch to fix this for a long time now, but no patch has been forthcoming. My advice: buy Doom 3 instead. At least it works. 5 stars (Its good to sleep again!!) - So after about 1 week of airboating, dune buggying, sewage running, zombie killing and falling for the main AI character of the game. I finally got some sleep. All I'm gonna tell you is be sure you have a strong marriage and some vacation days from work cause you WILL NOT be doing anything else!! This game had to of been the greatest game I have played! Only bad part about it is that its over!! Barbie Fashion Show

5 stars (Game that's fun for kids AND adults!!!) - I am 22 and have 2 young sisters, who are 5 and 3. My mom bought them this game and showed it to me because I am interested in fashion design. I played it for about 4 hours!! It is so much fun! I am not a huge Barbie fan (after all, I'm a big kid now), but it is really a fun game. As far as other reviewers saying that this game is not educational, it is... Barbie Fashion Show challenges girls to follow directions (you get assignments from a "real" fashion designer during the game), and use their creativity. At the end, you even get to design your own runway (including lighting, poses and music) and take virtual snapshots of your show! I am bummed that it is only for PCs though, and that's my only complaint. 5 stars (Awesome!) - My daugters friend has the game. She played it once and toatally want it, even though she 12! It is a great game for girls who like designing outfits. My daugter says, "It is great fun!" 3 stars (My little girl) - I bought this game for my little girl. She wanted it because it had Barbie in it. That's how girls are today, they want Barbie everything. Well, I think that Barbie dhould have educational games. Dark Age of Camelot Platinum Edition

5 stars (A Great Game, Too Often Slammed) - I have played this game for about two & a half yrs and have enjoyed my time in game tremendously. Basics of the game involve establishing a fantasy character in 1 of 3 realms in the ancient British Isles. The game allows a character to focus on spending time battling monsters in their own realm, battling players in the other 2 realms, or becoming a crafter of items. You can spend as much or as little time as you want in the game and you can do any combination of the above activities. You also can join with other players to form guilds & alliances. Many overly criticize that too much time is wasted in the "grind" of leveling a character to 50th or in obtaining items wanted to enhance a character's ability. They miss the point that the pleasure in the game is playing. If their only focus of the game is to become the best of a particular character class with the most realm points posted on the boards, they miss out on the essence of the game which is to explore a fantasy world with numerous dungeons and lands filled with monsters and quests to conquer. The realm vs realm aspect of Camelot is the best in the genre and the various level specific battlegrounds allow a character to have fun defending their realm at almost any level. I have found that Mythic has been responsive to player feedback. They have made numerous modifications regarding artificat acquisition, realm inequity, class inequity, encounter glitches, etc. Be careful in starting Dark Age of Camelot, as you may become addicted. I have have had many wonderful adventures in Camelot and made many on-line friends. 3 stars (Good fun) - Its good fun if you can deal with leveling to 50........then the arts......... Overall a good time, good people for the most part. Only down side is if you think your going to get a level 50 just kill, not going to happen. Barbie Princess and the Pauper

2 stars (hard to figure out...) - I bought this game for my 5 yr old and thought that it was very hard to get to the next level. If you are thinking of buying this for your child, please think twice. The graphics are very nice and the game is in a nice setting. Just to hard to figure out for your typical Barbie lover! 3 stars (Good game - has glitches) - My 7 year old daughter played this game for 3 hours straight the day we got it. She loves the game but got VERY frustrated when we ran into a software glitch at th 17 th step -- one step away from making the coronation! My suggestion to avoid this is to make sure you use the log the woodsman gives you to cross the muddy patch to collect the toolbox. My daughter did not and she was unable to give the snacks she collected later to the sheep herder. This prevented her from continuing on in the game. I think the log and the snacks must hold the same spot on the ribbon bar. I played the game with her under a different sign on name and had no problem when we used the log to cross the mud. 5 stars (How to get past the singing bug) - If you are seeing the error message "LipMgr.play -> EzDlgNone has loaded no lip synch data" on the singer recruiting task, here's how to get past it: This bug will not occur if you only give a flower to the correct singers (the ones who sing note patterns that match Erika's). Watch the little display in the lower right of the screen and sing any of the three patterns shown at the top. When the correct singers respond, their note pattern will appear below Erika's. Give them a flower. But if the singer is bad, only gray circles will appear. If you give a bad singer a flower, you will often hit the bug. So just make sure your daughter doesn't try to recruit the bad singers, and all should be well. Except for this bug, the game is a lot of fun. My 5 year old loves it, and was able to play the entire game with almost no help. ...
