5 stars (Great relaxation CD!) - I purchased this CD for my kids (ages 9 & 6)about a year ago. They love it and so do I. At first they were both a little giggly at it but then after a night or two they were asking for it and it began to be part of our nightime ritual. I love it as well and have found it to be very relaxing myself. I have some of my own relaxation CD's that I listen to and this CD uses the same methods for relaxation but in a kid friendly way! It's just great. I'm looking for another one for some variety. 5 stars (Indigo Dreams) - This is a great relaxation CD. I purchased it for my 9 year old son, who is having problems with night terrors and anxiety in general. Since we have started listening to it to go to sleep, the night terrors have significantly decreased and he seems more relaxed overall. I highly recommend this CD -- it is a great way to teach children how to relax. 5 stars (Great for the entire family!) - I recently ordered this CD for my 4 yr old daughter. The first night we listened to it together, and she enjoyed it very much. Even I managed to follow the stories and relax right along with her. It helped her fall to sleep and have a restful night. No more nightmares or monster's under the bed, she looks forward to bed every night. Highly recommed it to parents of kids with a lot of energy. You won't believe the change. ...

5 stars ("Traveling Light") - This is by far one of the best books I have ever read. Max Lucado has a way of sharing his insight in a manner that everyone can learn from. Need a lift in your life; need to unload some of the excess baggage you are carrying around. This is the book that will help you do it. 5 stars (Very Inspiring) - I listened to the book on tape of Traveling Light. It was very enjoyable and entertaining and also very inspiring. Max Lucado used images and descriptions in his teaching that make the lessons very easy to understand. He is very knowledgable and gets his point across in a manner that is easy to follow. This is a great book for someone who wants a better understanding of the Psalm, or who is looking for an easy to follow inspirational message. 5 stars (Carry a Lighter Load.) - I started reading some of Lucado's work about 5 years ago and have always found it a perfect fit for whatever situation I am currently in. This particular novel is great in breaking down some of the more common excess baggage that we all carry daily. It is a self-help book tightly wrapped with anecdotes that make it an entertaining read while dealing with a very heavy subject. The study pages in the back make it an even more useful tool for dissecting your life. This is a book that you can read all at once for pleasure or in multiple sittings for use as a daily devotional. ...

The Life Recovery Bible- New Living Translation

5 stars (My favorite bible.) - This bible is a must for anyone in recovery. My favorite bible, helps me to remember where I came from. 5 stars (Outstanding Bible) - I own many good Bibles, but this one is in a class by itself. It's directly relevant to day-to-day life. It's outstanding! This Bible deserves more thatn a five-star rating. 5 stars (Nothing Short of God's Miracle (INFINITY STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!)) - This Bible gives the Word of God to those going through recovery in a translation that is easily applicable to today's readers' lifes and is easily read and understood by those who read it. It also supplies readers with all the footnotes used in the translation. But what makes this Bible stand out from any others is the amount of devotional material it contains. Each of the 66 books has reflections on recovery at the beginning and then end of the book. Also, it contains footnotes with recovery reflections on almost every passage of scripture imaginable! The Bible gives readers 84 12 step devotionals, as well as numerous devotionals on the 8 principles of recovery (the beattitudes) and the serenity prayer. It has an abundant index of topical references that anyone could use. I have only been in recovery for about a month, but this Bible has given me profound insight to the 12 steps and has been a key tool in aiding my recovery. I am thoroughly convinced that the Bible is anyone's key to recovery, and this Bible is an almost necessary item to complete that faith-based recovery. Perhaps not, but as you read this book you will be brought to laughter, tears, and given moments where you go "Thank God someone else understands!" The Yarn Harlot gives me something to read when I am away from a computer and can't read her blog.
